MTN Nigeria has introduced customer care over Whatsapp where you get to easily and quickly talk to a customer care agent on Whatsapp. Since it’s even now possible to use Whatsapp on a computer system, this would be something that is very easy for them to manage.

I am not a fan of calling customer care lines as you have to wait for long minutes before you are able to talk to a customer care agent. You would be put on hold and would keep listening to the music, whether you like it or not. They have even jazzed up the whole thing by playing their adverts into your ears. You are forced to wait this out, because if you hang up, you would have to start the whole process all over again.

However, to make it easier for customers to reach their customer care agents and save them the stress of going through call waiting when calling their customer care, MTN Nigeria has now introduced five(5) dedicated phone numbers through which you can reach them on Whatsapp. All you have to do is to save these five(5) numbers into your contact list, and then refresh your contact list on Whatsapp (If it has not automatically refreshed the list). Once your contact list is up to date, then you can scroll to the number in your contact list and tap it to start chatting with one of their agents and get any issue that you may have with their network resolved immediately.

As at this moment, I’m not sure if they support Whatsapp voice calls, though I seriously doubt that as it would put an extra strain on them and would not allow them to be able to attend to multiple customers at a go. If you have any issue to discuss with them and you are able to use the calling feature of Whatsapp, then that would be a good deal of an advantage (for the person calling only though as others would have to wait).

The MTN Nigeria Whatsapp phone numbers are listed below

  • 09033000001
  • 09033000002
  • 09033000003
  • 09033000004
  • 09033000005

All five of them are available for you to chat with. So, simply choose anyone that you fancy and get your MTN issues resolved speedily on Whatsapp.

If you have tried using this feature, please, don’t hesitate to share your experience with us in the comment section below.
