Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge were first annonced by Samsung at the Mobile World Congress of 2016 as is their usual practise. Attendees of the event also had the opportunity of getting a first-hand experience of the device before it would be released into the market.

Galaxy S7 would surely be the flagship device for Samsung in 2016 and it’s a phone that is packed with lots and lots of features alongside a top-notch hardware though it seems it’s just a little upgrade on Samsung Galaxy S6, but anybody upgrading from Samsung Galaxy S5 or lower would be making a big jump as he / she would be seeing lots of newer features to play around with and enjoy.

These two(2) devices are expected to be released into the market this March by Samsung and would be launched in Nigeria on March 23rd after which it would become available for purchase. You can pre-order any of the two (2) devices on samsungs7.ng

You would notice that the main differences between the two devices, which I have highlighted in red colour above are

  • The flat screen in the Galaxy S7 and the curved screen of the Galaxy S7 Edge and
  • The 3,000 mAh battery in the Galaxy S7 and the 3,600 mAh battery in the Galaxy S7 Edge

Apart from the differences highlighted above, the two(2) phones are pretty much the same as both

  • are water-resistant
  • have an enhanced camera and are the first set of smartphones with dual-pixel technology with fast autofocus, less blur and a new advance sensor
  • come with the latest version of Android, version 6.0 code-named Marshmallow and more

So, whichever one of these Samsung Galaxy S7 or Samsung Galaxy S7 edge that you wish to own, it’s all in your hands to choose as irrespective of the one you choose, you’ll be laying your hands on a beast of a device.
