Hello Techrammer readers, today we bring you a topic that may be causing you to query Facebook Inc. Team. We’re glad this post is right before you. This post brings a solution to the problem of auto-playing videos on Facebook and you’re getting it live.

It happens that videos that play automatically in your “News Feed” make for “an easier way to watch” but people don’t really like it because it is a feature that consumes bandwidth faster. For instance, you are logged in to Facebook to check for an important update and log-out ASAP because you don’t have enough data and you come across a video that automatically plays by itself. At that moment, you won’t be pleased with it and you may find yourself ranting to yourself about Facebook.

So, all of us at Techrammer bring to you the simplest way to stop auto-playing of Facebook videos so that you can do what you want to do on your Facebook account without the fear of unnecessary videos that you are not even interested in auto-playing.

So, to prevent videos from auto-playing on Facebook, simply follow these steps

For Computers / PCs

Step 1: Visit your Facebook account.

Step 2: Click the drop-down menu in the top-right hand corner of the Facebook website.

Step 3: Navigate down to “Settings”, a new tab will pop. Scroll down to “Options”.

Step 4: Scroll down to “Video” and click on it.

Step 5: Change the drop down menu for “Auto-Play Videos” to “OFF”

For Mobile Users.

Step 1: Open the Facebook app on your mobile device

Step 2: Scroll down your account homepage till you get to “Settings”, then tap it.

Step 3: After tapping on settings, you will see some options, scroll to “Video” and tap on that option as well

Step 4: Tap ‘Auto Play’ in the video option and chose “Never play videos automatically”.

With this tutorial, I am sure you will have an account that doesn’t auto play videos and you would be able to save yourself a lot of bandwidth as you would only watch videos that you are interested in and really want to watch at that point in time. 🙂

You can let us know your experience in implementing this tutorial in the comment section. Thank you.
