Yay! It’s the festive season all over again. Christmas is in the air and a new year is just by the corner. So, to mark the season you can add the falling snow effect to your WordPress blog and let your visitors feel the season that we are in.
I already have Christmas lights and some other Christmas decorations all over my house with a small Christmas tree (yes it’s a tiny one :D) in my living room as well. Many offices have also put up Christmas decorations to beautify the environment and make everybody have a feeling of the season.
It’s good to make everybody know that Christmas is in the air. It is however better when you don’t just do it offline, but also do it online as well. Many people may not know that WordPress has this great feature of showing a falling snow effect on all the pages of your Wordpress site. You may have noticed that the feature is already enabled for this site and it’s very simple to enable it.
Outlined below are the steps for getting this done.
- Go to the “Settings” menu.
- Click the “General” sub-menu under the “Settings” menu.
- Scroll down to the field labelled “Snow” and make sure the checkbox is checked.
The snow effect would be enabled until January 4 of the new year and would be automatically disabled. It is a very cool feature and unless you do not believe in Christmas, I think every WordPress site owner should enable it.
Merry Christmas in advance.
