Our very beloved WordPress has released the new version of the software, version 4.3, for public consumption and it has some great features added to it, which I have explained here.

Once you log in to your admin section, an update notification should automatically appear telling to update to WordPress 4.3. The update does not only affect the core of WordPress, but it also brings with it updates to the default WordPress themes Twenty Fifteen, Twenty Fourteen and Twenty Thirteen.

So, why should I update to WordPress 4.3?

WordPress 4.3 comes with some new great features that you do not want to miss using. They include

Site Icons: Prior to WordPress 4.3, anytime you install a new theme, you have to set a favicon (The icon that appears on a browser tab) for your site afresh. However, in this latest version of WordPress, you only need to set your favicon once as it’s been handled by WordPress directly and not left to themes to handle again.
